RHODES SCHOLARS
ptlE awarding of a Rhodes Scholarship to Mr. A. G. Bogk makes the fourth award which has been given to an ex scholar of the Wanganui Collegiate School. Dr. A, E. Porritt who was recently appointed Surgeon in Ordinary to the Dili.' of York, will presumably hold that post to His Majesty the King Lhe other awards were: Mr. W. E. Henley, who is also a medic' in London, and Mr. A. S. Meldrum. It is gratifying indeed to Wanganui that. like Dr. Porritt. a native son of the city and a pupil of tne Collegiate School, should have been successful. Last year Mr. Max Brown was nominated for the Rhodes Scholarship, but was eventually granted a research scholarship.
