WEISSMULLER EXONERATED
THAT REPORTED ASSAULT Received Nov. 26, 11.30 p.m. NEW YORK, Nov. 26. Lieutenant Winslow, in a statement, exonerated Johnny Weissmuller Weissmuller, in a statement said “The youngsters of America will nevet think me a coward. Tarzan couk never be a coward.” A cable message published yesterday stated that Lieutenant Cameror Winslow, a junior officer in the navy and prominent in social circles, charged Johnny Weissmuller with badly beating him about the face while the actor’s friends held him, as the result of a night club altercation Weissmuller issued a denial.
