Quickenden was gowned in black ring velvet when she entertained on Monday evening to honour Miss Nellie Barrett on the occasion of her 21st birthday. Miss Barrett chose a lovely champagne floral frock, i Cream roses and pink carnations were < arranged in the lounge where a jolly sing was enjoyed by the guests. The guest of honour received the sweetest j gold key from Mrs. Quickenden, and : on the supper table pride of place was < given to the cake with its pretty candles.
