AVIATION OFFER
“ CHRONICLE ” SCHOLARSHIP. OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUTH CLOSING DATE NEAR Only three and a-half days remain in which entries may he lodged for the aviation scholarship being offered by the proprietors of the Wanganui “Chronicle.” The scholarship presents a unique opportunity for the young men and women of the district who are interested in aviation as a hobby or as a possible career to learn to fly free of charge. Similar scholarships have been conducted in other centres from time to time and have been well patronised by keen young folk, so it is not surprising that widespread interest is being taken in the "Chronicle” scholarship. Flying will be the chief means of transport in the near future, and with the establishment of an efficient air force and the extension of the existing mail and passenger services, aviation will offer many openings for qualified pilots.
