' Two professional contests wert staged by the Southland Boxing As* sociation in the Civic Theatre to-night. ’ i The main bout was between Roy de Gans (12.4) and Jack Rainsford f (12.10), and was won by de Gans on I points. De Gans boxed cleverly throughout and displayed superior ringcnafc. The other professional contest, oe« ■ tween Doug. Eddington (9.12), of ’ T.maru, and Jack Reidy (9.12), of Invercargill, was won by Eddington ■ aften ten fast rounds of keen boxing.
