WATERSIDER’S INJURIES FEU. DOWN A HOLD [ Per Press Association. | WELLINGTON, Nov. 24. Damages totalling £B3l 13s 6d are claimed in the Supreme Court by Francis Law, watersider, from the master and owners of the Middlesex, the sequel to injuries received when Law fell 15 feet into lhe hold in September of last year. Negligence is alleged on the part of defendants, or some person or persons employed by them, in not seeing that the hatchway was properly covered, the hatch not being placed properly in position, or knocking it out of position and not replacing it. The defence denies negligence.
