MAIN TRUNK FATALITY BODY FOUND NEXT MORNING I Per Press Association] TAUMARUNUI, Nov. 22. A fatal accident occurred on the Main Trunk line when the first express from Wellington to Auckland was passing through the King Country during Friday night. Herbert Kenneth Harre, married, 46, apparently fell from the train between Owhango and Kakahi. He was occupying a sleeper with his wife, who missed him and reported the matter to the guard. A goods train driver discovered the body yesterday morning lying on the track. WORKMAN’S DEATH COLLAPSE FROM CYCLE ( Ter Prefis Association. 1 * HASTINGS, Nov. 22. While riding a bicycle, William Fleming, aged 58, collapsed and died in Napier yesterday afternoon. Deceased, who had been shovelling coal at the Napier Railway yards, felt unwell and left for home. Beyond his name, the police know little about deceased. He was sft. 6in. in height, of slight build, clean shaven, thin face, grey eyes, medium nose, hair going grey and a star tattoo on the left forearm. BULLET IN HEAD SHOOTING GALLERY FATALITY | far Press Association I WELLINGTON, Nov. 22. Identified as Reginald Clark Smith, a young man taken to hospital on Friday night with a bullet wound in his head received while at a shooting gallery in Courtenay Place, died at 12.30 a.m. to-day. The present, evidence points to accidental death. He was 19 years old. SMALL BOY’S DEATH DROWNED IN SWIMMING POOL [Per Press Association | WELLINGTON, Nov. 21. While playing in the grounds of Marsden School. Karori, Frank William Penhey, aged 11. fell into the private swimming pool belonging to the school and was drowned. Apparently the boy and another of about the same age was trespassing on the school property and as the pool is among trees and bidden from the school buildings, thev were not noticed. When his friend saw Penhey in the pool he gave the alarm and the staff of the school did their best to save jthe boy. He was brought out of the water by one of the staff and artificial respiration applied by members |of the staff and by a doctor, but it I proved unavailing.
