BRITISH DECISION

WITHDRAWAL OF INDIANS AT ADDIS ABABA. Received Nov. 8, 5.5 p.m. ROME, Nov. 6. The British Ambassador (Sir Eric Drummond) has advised the Foreign Minister (Count Ciano) that the British have decided to withdraw immediately the Indian troops guarding the Legation at Addis Ababa. The Italian authorities have agreed to protect the personal property of the Legation. The decision is regarded with general satisfaction as a timely gesture ending an unreal situation. The presence of the Indians was considered to be humiliating to both sides.
