CLAY CROSS BY-ELECTION LONDON, Nov. 6. The Clay Cross by-election due to the death of Mr. A. Holland (Labour) resulted as follows:—•• George Ridley (Labour) 24,920 Miss Bridgit Jackson (Con.) ... 8,042 Mr. Holland polled 24,590 votes at the 1935 General Election, against Miss Jackson’s 8391.
