BUTTER MARKET

THE LONDON POSITION. Received Nov. 8, 7.20 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 7. Butter stocks are roughly 8200 tons above last year and shipments afloat from the Dominions on October 29 were 600 tons higher than last year, indicating at best a steady market. Against this must be set the low grading from Australia due to the dry weather, consequently the market is tending higher. Bulk operators have definitely missed the market, holders of stocks being disinclined to realise.
