Forecast.-Winds: South westerly at lirst. in the far north and over the southern half of the South Island; otherwise, westerly to north-westerly prevailing, moderate to strong generally and, at. times, reaching gale force stbout Cook Strait and l-'oveaux Strait. Seas (N.Z. waters): Rough at times in the Cook and Foveaux StYaits’ areas, rather jough to rough on the west coast; elsewhere, slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong westerly winds, of gale force at times in the southern portion; seas, rather rough to rough. Weather: Still fair to line in eastern and tar northern districts; elsewhere, changeable and somewhat squally, with occasional rain in places with a westerly aspect, but more especially the we.-t coast and southern portions of the South Island; temperatures, mild generally and m eastern districts warm al times.
