N.Z. WOOL TRADE
OCTOBER SALES AND EXPORTS An indication of the strength of the wool market is given in offerings and sales in New Zealand during the first four months of the 1936-37 season ended October 28. The whole of the wool offered last month totalling 1593 bales was sold. Offerings for the four months were 20,556 bales of which 19,991 bales, or 97.25 per cent., were sold. Offerings for the corresponding period of last year were 26,011 bales of which 23,547 bales, or 90.52 per cent., were sold. According to returns compiled by Dalgety and Co., Ltd., offerings and sales of wool for the four months compare as follows:

Shipments of wool from New Zealand last month totalled 16,361, of which 10,086 bales were greasy wool and 6275 bales slipe and scoured. Exports of wool for the four months ended October 28 totalled 77,707 bales, compared with 85,249 bales for the corresponding period of last year, details being as follows:
