running of calydon QUESTION AT ASCOT. Received Oct. 20, 11.5 p.m. MELBOURNE, Oct. 20. The stewards inquired into the run* ning of Calydon, who was second in the Ascot Hurdle to-day, but took no action beyond cautioning the rider, J. Regan, for poor judgment. Journey’s End, trained by the New Zealander J. McLaughlin, won the Trial, in which International was never prominent. Silver Standard will not run again until the Melbourne Cup. Golden Promise is improving but his future is indefinite.
