PALESTINE TROUBLE BUFFS PATROL FIRED ON [ British Official Wireless ] ” RUGBY, Oct. 19. The first communique issued by th< High Commissioner for Palestine since routine publication was discontinued owing to thq restoration of order and the absence of acts of violence was published on Saturday. It refers to firing on a patrol of the 2nd Battalion of the Buffs near Miilya, a village in the Acre sub-dis-trict. The communique stated that the military, in co-operation with aircraft, dispersed the assailants, who were believed to have been Druses from Syria, and later it was established that they were highwaymen and not political rebels. It is believed that three casualties were inflicted by the troops. One British officer and ®ne private were sligntly wounded. Early on Saturday morning in Tel Aviv, the communique adds, two Arabs were shot and wounded by unknown assailants who escaped. The condition of one of them is serious.
