EARLY CONSTRUCTION POSSIBLE Press Association! AUCKLAND, Oct. Ig. “Before very long I hope to announce that we will be going on with the construction of the Auckland harbour bridge,” said Mr M. R. Hornibrook, managing-director of Mr M. R. Hornibrook Proprietary, Limited, Brisbane, who has arrived from Australia. Mr Hornibrook said he had come to New Zealand at the invitation of the bridge company, and would carry out further investigations into the project. Over a year ago the chief engineer of his company had visited New Zealand, being followed at a later date by his brother, Mr F. J. Hornibrook. Beyond saying tha, his brother had reported very favourably on the scheme, Mr Hornibrook said he could make no further announcement at present.
