AUCKLAND CONCLUDES HANDICAP TO SCOTLAND TRAY BIT AND KELLY [Ter Press Association! AUCKLAND, Oct. 12. The Auckland Racing Club’s spring meeting concluded at Ellerslie to-day with occasional showers. The track . T . as in good order. The attendance ,vas large and the totalisator handled £25,745, compared with £19,601 10s on :he second day last year, an increase □f £6143 10s. The total for the meeting was £60,376. against £46,459 10s, an increase of £13.916 10s. Results:— NORMAN BY HANDICAP. At the turn Tray Bit and Karl were in frdht together, with Tin Lap. Prince Acre, Mungatoon. Golden Blonde and Star Artist close up. Tray Bit stayed on well to length from Star Artist, with T*syal Dance a head away, third. Solaria, who ran up from the rear, was fourth. Time, 1.14 2-5. KING EDWARD HANDICAP. Inver and Crooning ■went to the front early and along the top Crooning led from Legatee. Inver, Dark Shadow and Entail. At the turn Dark Shadow ran up to third place. Kelly coming out of the blue to win by a head from Crooning, with Dark Shadow half a head back, third. Entail was fourth. Time. 1.38 1-5.
