“MAID OF THE MOUNTAINS”
THE PART OF “TERESA” Acting on medical advice, Mrs Olive Tarrant, who was cast in the part o£ "Teresa" (the maid) in the Wanganui Amateur Musical and Dramatic Society’s forthcoming production of the "Maid of the Mountains," has relinquished the part with very much regret. The matter was discussed fully by ■ the executive of the society and much ; regret was felt that Mrs Tarrant had i taken such a step. It was unanimously decided to offer the part to Mrs Russell Scoullar, the Wanganui so|t;rano, who gained such distinction in the recent aria contest at Wellington. Mrs Scoullar has accepted the part and has begun the heavy task of preparing for the opening presentation, which is approximately four weeks away.
