DUCHESS THEATRE

One of the most sympathetic of all love stories is brought to the screer in. "Laddie,” based on Gene StrattonPorter’s world-famous novel, to be screened to-night at the Duchess Theatre. How a farmer's boy who courted an English nobleman’s daughter, and, against the odds of caste and bitter opposition, won her as his bride, are vividly painted against the canvas of a homely rural scene. With John Beals, Gloria Stuart and Charlotte Henry as principals, “Laddie” was given the most elaborate attention by RKO-Radio, the makers of "Little Women.”
