1 Mr F. Haywood was re-elected patron of the Wanganui Rowing Association at the annual meeting last night. Flight-Lieutenant lan Keith, pilotinstructor to the Western Federated (N. 1. Flying Club, will arrive in Wanganui to-day to recommence training work at the .Wanganui Airport. Feeling reference to the death of Mr L. Rutherford was made last night at the annual meeting of the Wanganui Rowing Association and a motion of. sympathy with his relatives was passed. Tribute to the services rendered rowing in Wanganui by the retiring president, Mr T. H. James, was paid by Mr E. J. Crotty last night at the annual meeting of the Wanganui Rowign Association. Regret was expressed at Mr James’ inability to continue in office owing to ill-health, and members hoped that he would soon be restored to good health. Mr James was unanimously elected to the newlycreated position of vice-patron of the association.
