FEDERATED BROTHERHOOD
WANGANUI MEETING j One of the most interesting and im- i pressive meetings of the Wanganui branch of the Federated Brotherhood was held in the Central Hall yesterday afternoon, Bro. F. W. Ansley presiding. The first Maori member, Chaplain Fraser, was received into membership and was presented by Bro. Canon W. G. Williams with a Brotherhood badge. Miss Phillips sang the solo, "Rock of Ages," one member remarking that it was years ago that clay when at a great Brotherhood meeting in Birmingham, he was farewelled with the same solo. The Scripture lesson was taken from Chapter XV. of John, and Bro. Canon Williams gave an appealing address, his subject being the “Sealing of the Spirit.” Miss Phillips, who has been transferred to Wellington, received the well wishes of the Brotherhood. The singing of "Blest be the Ties that Bind,” and the Benediction by Canon Williams, concluded the meeting.
