ON THE RANGE Shooting under ideal weather conditions on Saturday afternoon, members of the Rangitikei Defence Rifle Club averaged 100 per man, and P. Thorby equalled A. Stevenson’s range record of 105 —the possible. H. Meads (103) and K. Lumsden (100) were also in fine form. Full scores: —
GOLF Members of the Rangitikei and Kimbolton Golf Clubs played a match at Bulls on Friday, the visitors winning by one game. Results are as follow, Rangitikei players being mentioned first:—Mrs. Dean lost to Mrs. D’Ath; Miss Amon defeated Mrs. Murray; Mrs. W. Wilson lost to Miss Ross; Miss N. Wilson lost to Miss Henshaw; Miss D. Perrett defeated Miss Hocking; Mrs. Russell halved with Mrs. Cornfoot; Mrs. Lawrence defeated Mrs. Clapham; Mrs. D. W. Wilson lost to Mrs. Brown; Miss Willis defeated Miss Meads; Miss K. Amon lost to Miss harry. Kimbolton, 5 wins; Rangitikei, 4 wins; one game halved. The “sealed partner” competition, postponed from last week, will be played to-morrow afternoon.
