I The ninety-third session ot the Council of the League ot Nations opened this evening at Geneva under tne presidency of Senor Vicuna, ot Chile. The Council, which met in private, I adopted its agenda and decided, in ac- ■ eordance witn a request By the Govj ernments of Iran and Irak, to remove trom it a question relating to the frontier dispute between tnose two I countries. it was decided to forward to the Assembly communications received from 18 Governments regarding tne application of the principles of the Covenant. A Geneva message says that the Secretary-General, M. Avenol, then made a statement on the circumstances in which he recently visited Italy, and that he informed tne Council ot his conversations in Rome with the Italian .f oreign Minister and the head of the Government. He informed the Council that Signor Mussolini made it a condition ot Italy's participation in the work of the present Assembly that no Abyssinian delegation should be present, and reported that he had told Signor Mussolini that this was a question to be decided by the Credentials Committee of the Assembly.
