STEWARD AND BOY

THEFT ON RANGITANE [ Per Procs Association, J WELLINGTON, Sept. 18. The steward and steward’s boy, who were before the Court yesterday in connection with theft on the Rangitane, were dealt with to-day. Frederick James, the steward, was ordered to come up for sentence if called within two years, and the boy, Ransom, was remanded to the Children’s Court. Judge Smith said that he understood that arrangements had been made for James to leave the country, and no doubt he would take the first opportunity to do so.
