CONTRAST IN FROCKING

WANGANUI RACE FASHIONS Although the clay was cloudy, the weather was, on the whole, good for the second day of the races. There was a large attendance and it was gratifying to see some indication of the fashions of the approaching season, although a large number wore furs. All colours seemed popular, with grey, blues, greens, black and white, brown, beige and the rustee shades being noticeable. Bright scarves and the wearing of sprays and posies of real flowers made attractive additions to the dressing. Cheerful music was played by the Wanganui Garrison Band.
