Mr. and Mrs. T. Latham are holidaying at the Chateau Tongariro. ♦ ♦ ¥ Mrs. Percy Wall. Hatuma, is the guest of Mrs. A. H. E. Wall, Campbell Street. Miss Sheila White, of Hastings, is visiting Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Martin, of Dannevirke, were week-end visitors to Wanganui. Miss June Campion left on Saturday for Hawera. Miss H. Powell, Taranaki, is visiting Wanganui as the guest of Mrs. J. D. Crowley. Mrs. Neilson, Waganui East,, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. T. Urwin, at Stratford. Mrs. Noel Rix-Trott, Marton, who has been holidaying at New Plymouth, left for Hamilton during the week-end. Miss Kidd, of Gisborne, is visiting Wanganui as the guest of Mrs. E. H. Everett. Mrs. E. Parsons and Miss Jean Parsons, of Waitotara, who have been touring abroad, have booked their return trip by a ship leaving England to-morrow. Mrs. Webster and Miss Joan Webster, of New Plymouth, who visited Wanganui for race week, stayed at “Bushy Park,” Kai Iwi. Mrs. Nelson, of Gisborne, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. T. Blennerhassett, Wicksteed Street, has returned home. Miss B. M. Cummins returned to Wanganui on Saturday after a short holiday spent in Wellington. Mrs. K. Duncan, of Hunterville, I who has been visiting her mother, 1 Mrs. J. Ransom, at New Plymouth, returned home during the week-end. Miss Newton, of Napier, Is spending a holiday in Wanganui as the juest of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. B. Newson, St. John’s Hill. Mrs. Brewer, Waverley, left on Saturday for Auckland to farewell her daughter, Miss Marjory Brewer, vho is accompanying Mrs. P. Bremer m a holiday trip to Honolulu. Miss E. Moore, May Street, leaves o-day for Stratford, where she will »e the guest of Miss M. Hedditch.
Mr. and Mrs. C. Hartwell and their baby daughter were Te Kuiti visitors to Wanganui for the week-end and were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hartwell, Surrey Road.
Mrs. Walton Curry, of Gonville, accompanied by Mrs. O. Allen and Miss Kilner, motored, over to Napier last week to be present at the Bethwaite — Titter wedding on Wednesday, returning home during the week-end. Mrs. F. Maurice Clarke, of Hataitai, Wellington, who has been the guest of Mrs. W. P. Miller, Anzac Parade* returned to her home on Saturday. Mrs. and Miss Jackson Hughes, of Wellington, are on a short visit to Wanganui and are staying with Mrs. E. J. Hughes, of Braeburn. Tea Party. A delightful tea party was given on Saturday by Miss Sadie Paul at her home, “Riverlands,” Wanganui East, in honour of Miss May Richards, whose marriage takes place shortly. There were about 20 guests present. The tables were beautifully decorated with spring flowers and at each place for the guests a novelty favour had been placed.
