NEW PREMISES

STATE PRINTING OFFICE An indication that the Government proposed to erect new premises to house the Government printing works was given by the Minister in Charge (the Hon. P. C. Webb) in the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon, when the Estimates were under discussion. “The question of building a new Government printing office is under consideration,” he said. “It is quite obvious that the present building is hopelessly out of date, overcrowded, and antiquated, and it will be the Government’s job to erect a new building, provided with up-to-date machinery to cope with the Increasing work.”
