TALENTED SINGERS TROPHY FOR DUNEDIN GIRL * SYDNEY, Aug. 28. At the Sydney Eisteddfod, tne song j by an Australian composer resulted: Arthur Broadhurst, Wagga, 91 points, first; Miss Bertha Rawlinson, Dunedin, 90 points, second. The adjudicator, Dr. Keith Barry, said that wonderful talent, was shown by the competitors. Miss Rawlinson had a most promising voice. Mr. Percy Bates, who recently acted as associate conductor of the Broughton Centenary Choir of 1000 voices, presented a special trophy for the second place in the vocal solo by an Australian composer in the open section. This was won by Miss Rawlinson.
