The finalists are:-Senior, Ii F. Scott v. Ngaio Amon; intermedi ate, E. Carter v. W. Drew; junior, T R. Willis v. F. S. Collier. The first round of the ladies’ chain pionships will be played on Tuesday September 1. FARMERS’ UNION Fifty farmers attended the leclun of Mr. J. Hill Motion, B.Sc. M.R.C.V.S., in the Town Hall suppe room on Thursday evening. Thi gathering was under the auspices o the Bulls branch of the Farmers Union, and Mr. F. C. Jergens was ii the chair. A very interesting and in structive address on mammitis ii cows, and sickness in ewes was given and at the conclusion a general dis cussion took place on diseases of farn stock.
