THE PIE-CART

Sir, —I crave space in your valuable columns to express my opinion in regard to the action of Mr. D. E. Dustin concerning the pie-cart. No doubt he feels annoyed at losing a certain amount of trade, but in my opinion the convenience of the piecart fills a need that nothing else meets. I am sure I am expressing the opinion of a great number of Whanganui residents when I say that the pie-cart is a Godsend to those compelled to work at night, weary travellers arriving too late for refreshments, not forgetting those unfortunates who enjoy no other meals. —Yours, etc., “NIGHTWORKER.”
