NEW STEAMSHIP COMPANY
REGISTRATION IN N.S.W. Received A\(. 25, 7.47 p.m, SYDNEY. Aug. 25. The registration in New South Wales of the following company was announced to-day, namely the Mon-treal-Australia-New Zealand Line Limited, with a nominal capital of 500,000 dollars in 5000 shares of 100 dollars each. The objects are to carry on the business of ship, tug, barge and aircraft owners. The first directors are Messrs. P. P. Hutchison, E. H. Cliff. F. T*. Collins. A. D. Heeney and D. R. McMaster. The head office is to be at Montreal, Canada. the downhill races it conditions permit, otherwise the langlauf or longdistance event will be decided. Very keen competition is anticipated in all the events, as in addition to the Australian competitors who have been practising hard practically all the leading skiers in the Dominion are taking part in the meeting. H. and A. Wigley, of Mt. Cook, winner and runner-up in the N.Z. ski-running championship last year, are in tine form but they will encounter strong opposition from B. Murphy and B. McMillan, two of the most prominent North Island competitors, and other leading skiers from both islands. Colin Wyatt, the noted English skier, who has been giving some spectacular exhibitions or jumping in the past, week, is also competing in some of the events. In the women's races Miss Beale. Misses P. and J. Murphy, of Kaponga. and a number of South Island skiers are expected to provide strong- opposition to the Australian competitrs.
