NAUMANN FAREWELLED , TRIBUTES TC WORK After having served for several seasons as the Primary Schools’ Rugb> Union's representative on the Management Committee ot the Wanganui Metropolitan Rugby Union, Mr. E. Naumann, who has been transferred to tile Whangarei district, was £a:ewelled by members at last night's meeting ot the committee. The chairman, Mr. A. C. Danielson, said that Mr. Naumann had given valuable service to the union as the representative of the Primary Schools’ Rugby Union. He had been a member of the committee for several seasons and had always been a willing worker. He wished him success and prosperity in his new sphere of activity. Mr. J. Moye endorsed Mr. Danielson's remarks Although members were sorry to lose him they were de- | sirous of extending to him congratu- :

lations on his promotion. Mr Naumann. he said, had always been of wonderful hc.’p to the union, not only as regards administration but on the social side. In replying. Mr. Naumann said he was sorry that he was leaving Wanganui. He had enjoyed his work for the union which had been a great experience to him. If everyone was aware of the interest, taken in Rugby by the union there v’ould be not criticism from outsiders. The union gave every consideration and attention to the needs of football and footballer*. Hr knew that his successor. Mr. J. Ward, would be of ev«'ry assistance j to the union.
