AN ENGLISH FILM EDGAR WALLACE STORY I Albert de Courville began production in England recently of a talkie in I which all the action is in America and all the players except one are American—but he will not film any of it in 'America. This is the first time a big 'English talkie has been made with an all-American setting. I The film is an adaption of Edgar Wallace's "The Northing Tramp" and thfi leading players are Constance Cummings, Hugh Sinclair, and Noah I Beery. The combination will make three pictures for U.A. release at the new Korda studio at Denham. First National studios for any pictures with the single exception of "Anthony Adverse.” “Veterans of Future Wars.” In this era of timely topics, on the motion picture screen, Warner Bros, announce a forthcoming production sc timely that it borders on the futuristic. "Veterans of Future Wars" is the title that will be borne by a picture now in active preparation at the company’s studios. Dalton Trumbo one of the Warner scenarists, is at work on the screen play, which will be in the hands of the production executives very shortly. Then the "shooting" (that is cemera shooting) will begin as soon as possible. A report from the studios announcing "Veterans of Future Wars" express the anticipation that the film “will not only make fine entertainment but will create much discussion.” Details concerning cast, direction, etc., will be available in the very near future.
