POST AND TELEGRAPH STAFF
FIRST DANCE OF SEASON. The first of a series of dances to be held during the season by .the P. and T. staff vyas patronised by a large number of members and friends on Thursday night. Dancing was enjoyed to music supplied by Mr. N. T. Childs, and the duties of M.C. were ably carried out by Messrs. Finlayson and Harris. The supper arrangements were in the capable Jiands of the lady members of the staff and proved a feature of the evening. The chief postmaster, Mr. W. G. Cooper, and Mrs! Cooper were the guests of the evening, Mrs. Cooper wearing- shell pink lace and white cape. Among others present were:—Mesdames 8. J. Davis, floral spun crepe; Aliases Roche, black ring velvet; AleHardy, golden brown lace; Chapman, midnight blue satin, relieved with silver lame; Sawyers, black satin and lace; Shirley Milner, pale blue tartan, angelskin with white pleating; Kitty Waters, burgundy chiffon velvet with touches of deep cream; F. Humphrey, floral marocain; Al. Davis, scarlet taffeta; Margery Davis, floral satin beaute; Al. Gifford, black taffeta skirt with floral top; D. Reid, wine velvet; K. O’Keefe, powder blue taffeta, trimmed with silver lame; P. Chelley, olive green marocaine; E. Bostock, floral georgette with pink and blue corsage; Beryl Vernon, red taffeta; B. Gilbert, black and white pebble crepe; K. Lyth, black and floral tunic suit; L. Wilks, floral silk; L. Clark, old gold lace, silver trimmings; Alargarct MacDonald, navy and pink net, appliqued flowers; G. Ansley, blue suede crepe; AL. Alurphy, chenille velvet and gold lame; Connie Wilson, black and silver fantasie, velvet coat; Al. Hills, silk striped wine frock; A. Beckett, black and white model frock; Joy Hodges, midnight blue pleated organdie, trimmed with silver; C. 'Taylor, black ring velvet; I.
