FIRST DANCE OF SEASON. The first of a series of dances to be held during the season by .the P. and T. staff vyas patronised by a large number of members and friends on Thursday night. Dancing was enjoyed to music supplied by Mr. N. T. Childs, and the duties of M.C. were ably carried out by Messrs. Finlayson and Harris. The supper arrangements were in the capable Jiands of the lady members of the staff and proved a feature of the evening. The chief postmaster, Mr. W. G. Cooper, and Mrs! Cooper were the guests of the evening, Mrs. Cooper wearing- shell pink lace and white cape. Among others present were:—Mesdames 8. J.
