Edwards’ Handling.
Before he left: Patea for Wellington, L. 11. Edwards, the three-quarter playing good football for the Wellington Club at present, was considered by many to be a poor handler. His play in Wellington Rugby this season has not shown the fault to any noticeable extent. Edwards as a pupil at the Hawera Technical High School was one of the two best five-eighths the school ever had, but in playing for Patea he shifted to either cetnre or wing positions. He has all the attributes of the first-class player, and his displays this season, particularly at centre, have been marked by a conspicuous ability to run his wings into position.
