Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Haggilt were recent visitors to Wellington. Mr. and Airs. Ivan Davidson have been visiting Wellington. Mrs. W. MeA. Duncan, Ruanui, paid a brief visit to Wanganui this week. * » * * Mrs. Merewether, Gonville, has been visiting Wellington. * * * • Alias Norma Lupton, of Waverley, is visiting Hunterville, where she is the guest of Aliss Vera Shackleton. Misses J. Openshaw and K. Galpin, of Afarton, were visitors to Wellington this week. Aliss Edna Naumann arrived from New Plymouth yesterday, to spend a holiday in Wanganui. Miss A. Henderson, Fordell, who has been the guest of Air. and Airs. Rowland Barker, Napier, has now left for a visit to Auckland and Hamilton. Airs. Ginnane, Mangaweka, has been appointed by the Women’s Institute Dominion executive as voluntary organiser for the King Country Institutes in the Wanganui Federation. *The Bledisloe landscape medal has been awarded this year by the Auckland Society of Art); to Aliss I. G. Eise, of Auckland. The title of her picture is “Mangaotaki River.”
