“CAPTAIN JANUARY.” 11 Captain January/’ which is to he screened finally to-night at the Plaza theatre, is being accorded an exended season of one night only, n this film Shirley Temple has the enarely “different” role of th-e light-louse-keeper’s little daughter, Star. Phe setting is the rocky Maine coast, vhere most of the fishermen and sailors ire Star’s staunch friends. They teach ler ballads of the sea and stirring ,ap dances which this clever little ictress performs with the finish and •harm that would do credit to an adult >tar. Guy Kibbee and Slim Summerrille play the main parts in support of :he little star, and the stc-ry unfolds n a manner which holds the interest hroughout. The captain loses his emiloyment when the lighthoust becomes electrically equipped, but events then lake a surprise twist, which makes a happy ending for Star and all her friends. “His Night Out” What happens when a shy and quiet younu - man suddenly tears loose and spends hundreds of dollars entertaining his best girl during a single night out is aptly revealed in “His Night Out,’’ starring Edward Everett Horton, which is to commence to-morrow at the Plaza Theatre. Supporting Horton arc beautiful Irene Hervey and Robert McWadc. The ether feature is “ [ Love Vou Always,” with Nancy Carroll and George Murphy starred.
