WELLINGTON RACING CLUB. NOMINATIONS NEXT WEEK. The Wellington .Steeplechase, the big cross country event at the Wellington Racing Club’s winter meeting, has been increased to £750, while several of the other events have had appreciable additions made to prize money. Other cross-country events at the meeting ar«? the Marin Hack and Hunters’ Steeplechase, of £259, about two miles and ahalf; Matai Steeplechase, of £.’500, over the same distance; and the July Steeplechase. of £450, about three miles. The class hurdlers are catered for with the Trentham Hurdle Handicap, of £350, one mile and three-quarters, and Winter Hurdles, of £5OO, two miles and a-quarter.
