MAJESTIC THEATRE

“THE MUSIC GOES ROUND.’’ A mad extravaganza of music and rhythm worthy of the song that inspired it, “The Music Goes Round,” now showing at the Majestic Theatre, features the famous radio and variety star Harry Richman. Without a dull moment of its entire action, the film is liberally sprinkled with song hits. “There'll Be No South,” “Let’s Go,” “Lige Begins When You’re in Love,” “Suzannah,” and “Rolling Along” are all destined for a greater or lesser share of that great wave of popularity on which the title song is still riding. The first half of the programme includes newsreels, a brilliant technicolour featurette, a sports review, and an Andy Clyde comedy. “Dancing Lady.” “Dancing Lady,” which commences on Wednesday at the Majestic Theatre, is a popular revival of the film, which proved so successful when shown here previously. Fred Astaire is Joan Crawford’s dancing partner, and appears in a number of particularly li»c numbers. Another player in “Dancing Lady,” who has since found stardom, is Nelson Eddy. “A Tale of Two Cities.” Courage, gallantry and romance are to be found in Dickens’ story “A 'laic of Two Cities,” the screen version of which conies next Saturday to the Majestic Theatre. Ronald Colman gives his finest performance as the dissolute and vagabond Sydney Carton, and Elizabeth Allen and Edna May Oliver have prominent parts.
