WANGANUI CLUB SATURDAY'S PACK RACE. DIFFICULT COURSE COVERED. The Wanganui Harrier Club held its v.eekiy run un Saturday afternoon irom the Lnion Boating Ctub’s shed. 'lie luuncrs were dispatched in seven diilerent divisions over a varied crosscountry course of 6f miles, comprising toads, swamps, hills and many creek.and fences. Commencing from the boat shed, the competitors followed the road to I’utiki, v.uerc a turn to tne left was made and tlnee miles of diincult country were covered. The runners came out on to a\o. 2 Line about two miles from home and followed the road for me remainder of the journey, ’mere was a held of 24 starters, the sizes of the pacxs ranging irom live to twu r unp'Jis. The winner was C. Cox off the sixminuie mark and he was followed by C. Bobbins (luminj and K. Gilbertson (lOmin). 'ihe scratch runners, A. Bourgeois and K. There was a field of 20 runners in the race run by the Y.M.C.A. Harrier dub on Saturday afternoon over the Airport course from the Red Lion Inn. The pack was divided into senior and junior groups and was run under the whistle. The course consisted mostly of roads and sand and approximately 64 miles ~ were covered. A run-in was held over yl the final mile and resulted as follows:--
