Further evidence was given to-d:, bv ike detectives who arrested Herbe; Kopit (otherwise Colbert), charge with murdering Edward Speering an Alichael Francis Costello, and of a tempting to k : II Thomas Boys on th Rockhampton train on April 2. Their testimony supported Kopit signed statement conferring the a tacks on his victims. Detective Alahoney, of Brisbane, sa that, while escorting Kopit throuj; Sydney to Brisbane, Kopit suggested car drive through Darlinghurst so th; he could indicate the shops where t bought the women’s clothing and shoi in which he masqueraded in Sydm and Melbourne until arrested.
