The engine is a powerful high compression six-cylinder unit with detachable L-head and dome-type combustion chambers, it develops 78.5 maximum brake horse power at 3400 r.p.m. The features of the engine include down-draft carburetion, pressure lubrication, hardened exhaust-valve seat inserts, counter-balanced crankshaft and steel backed, replaceable main and connccting-rod bearings.
