UNDER LEAGUE BANNER TRANSFER OF PLAYERS ABOLITION OF £2OO FEE | Per Press Association ) NEW PLYMOUTH, April 9. I Abolition of the £2OO transfer fee at present payable on the transfer of registered Rugby League players between New "Zealand, England, Australia and other countries is being sought by the Taranaki League and the matter will be discussed at the New Zealand meeting. As the period for which the arrangement was intended to operate had almost expired, the I.,eague suggested, in a resolution passed at. the annual meeting to-night, that the New Zealand League should endeavour to arrange a further agreement with the International I.eague. The basis should, be the elimination of the transfer fee, with the provision that only registered League players should be ,-onsidered for transfer.
