SCHOOL ATHLETICS

TECHNICAL COLLEGE SPORTS. At ANY RECORDS BROKEN. The annual athletic sports of the Wanganui Technical College were held at Cook’s Gardens on Tuesday and yeaterday afternoon in bright sunshine. Throughout the events a high standard was displayed ami many existing school records were broken. The boys’ senior championship was won by Shewan (Alexander), with 26 points, O’Donnell (Rees) being run-ner-up with 12 points. The boys’ junior title was won by Brown (Braik) 20 points, with Pritchard (Alexander) and Morrell (Rees) six points runnersup. The intermediate title went to Burnush (Braik) 23 points, with Watson (Alexander) 17 points, runner-up. In the girls’ section, the senior championship was won by* E. Waters (Pirani) with 23 points, S. Green (Pirani) being runner-up with 22 I points. The junior championship went to E. Scott (Pirani) 17 points, with F. Adams (Braik) runner-up with 16 points.

The boys’ inter-house competition resulted as follows:—Alexander, 180 points, 1; Braik, 175 points, 2; Rees, 120 points, 3; Pirani, 51 points, 4.
