USE OF LIPSTICK

CRITICAL FRENCH HUSBAND PETITION FOR DIVORCE I’ABLS, April 6. Alleging that his wife’s unintelligent use uf a lipstick gave her the appearance of a vamp, the husband is seeking a divorce in the Paris Courts. The wife produced photographs showing examples of artistic and inartistic lipsticking, and said that bright scarlet was merely conforming to fashion. The husband replied that she had changed her mouth to such an extent that she ceased to have the appearance of a woman of her position. The case is not related to the society woman’s application for a divorce because her husband refused to kiss her. Judgment was reserved in each case. A. message dated London, April J, stated: The Sun-Herald Service says that the English divorce law authorities are awaiting with interest a Paris case in which a young French society woman is seeking a divorce because her husband allegedly refused to kiss her, stating that he had from childhood a deep-rooted antipathy to kissing and being kissed. The case is unprecedented in legal history.
