IRISH CONCERT

TUESDAY NEXT. Next Tuesday (March 17) being St. Patrick’s Day, the annual national concert will be held in the Opera House that evening. This concert is noted as a first-class entertainment and efforts arc being made this year to maintain the excellent standard of previous years, if not to excel it. The majority of items will be national ones, and a<> national music lends itself to an enjoyable programme, enhanced by the ■engagement of the best talent procurable, the concert should prove a great attraction to the public. The programme is a diversified one, consisting of instrumental, vocal, and dancing and other items. The proceeds are in aid of a worthy cause, namely the Home of Compassion.
