Marshall (Turn kina), W. Dunetim, I’. H. Whisker John Simpson, D. Imndy, M. C. Gould and Q. O. Wilson (Bulls;. Mr. Gibbons referred to the splendi: work carried out by Mr. Avery as sec rotary of the branch for a number ol years and considered that, some re muneration should be made to him 1 ' past services. The chairman endorse: the previous speaker's remarks an: said that Mr. Avery was a keen sports man and an enthusiastic secretary. It replying, Mr. Avery said he did not m tend to seek re election as secretary and wished the branch every succes. in the future. Those present contributed freely t: an honorarium to Mr. Avery for hi long and valuable assistance ami In was accorded three hearty cheers.
