Jewish Lad (Hawes) ran an easy half-mile in 58see. Korero (Smith) was finishing or better than Shy (R. Thompson) at the end of seven furlongs in Imin. 33 2-5 sec., the last half-mile in 53 4-ssec. Boomerang (IDooley) easily beat Fulojoy (Leach), a filly of moods, over half a mile in 52 3-sser. Wistful (McCauley;, and Toper (Faulkiner) ran half a mile in 52sec. After Money (Earland) was always just ahead of Alight (Dooley) over a good mile in Imin. 45 3-ssec., the last half-mile in 53 2-ssec., and she brushed off his effort near the end to get on terms.
