To dance anMd the most delightful surroundings and to the most entrancing mucic is the aim of all followers c-f the terpsichorean art, and the Druids* Hall appears to have become the city’s leading rendezvous. A myriad twinkling Lights resembling all the colours of the rainbow, the whole suffused by tints of amber, blue, green and red create a scene that deI lies description at the Palais de Danse I every Saturday night. This galaxy of [colour and beauty is the setting for every Palais do Danse week - end function. A specially-selected programme was indulged in from 8 o’clock till the midnight hour. A delightful supper was served in a number cf sittings and reflected credit upon those responsible for Its dispensation. The lucky winners of ihe Monte Carlo were: Miss Bowe and Air. Brown, Miss Gwen o’Mahoney, Mr. J. P. Williams, Mists Gould and Air. Coc-mbe, Miss Jackson and Mr. Scott, Miss Smith and Air. Phillips gaining, the prize. All were applauded by those ; less fortunate. Air. Gilroy, as usual, ' fulfilled the duties of M.C. in his inimitable manner. LEAP YEAR DANCE By especial request the Palais de Danse will hold, a Grand Leap Year dance in the Druids’ Hall on Wednesday night, commencing at 8 o’clock. This function promises to be equaily successful as th-e previous, and an entrancing programme has been arranged by the lady Al. C’s. By special arrangement also, dance hitc, imported direct from American publishing ' houses, will enable them to be heard in Wanganui for the first time. Excellent supper, Alontc Carlos, and superb dance floor, all lend themselves to assure patrons of a delightful evening’s entertainment.
