PRESERVATION MOVEMENT COMMITTEE’S SCHEME [ British Official Wireless. ] RUGBY, Feb. 19. The preservation of the natural beauty of the famous Peak District in Derbyshire has been asured by a resolution of the Peak Joint Planning Committee which has been approved by the Minister of Health. A planning scheme is to be prepared to cover 220,000 acres in the district, including Dovedalc and other places frequented by lovers of Derbyshire, which will safeguard the area from new development involving unsuitable or unsightly buildings.
