TRYING-PAN TENNIS MELBOURNE, Feb. 8. Air. AV. G. AlcKenzie, M.L.A., at Wonthaggi, to-day entered the ranks of the frying-pan tennis exponents by issuing a challenge to Mr. D. Merchant, a local storekeeper, for a oneset contest on St. Joseph’s Church court at 11 a.m. to-morrow. A local ironmonger will make a free issue of frying pans of standard size and weight. Air. AlcKenzie proved himself with the frying pan in a few practice hits to-day. Hot, sizzling replacements down the side line have strengthened his position in the betting world. A frying-pan tourney is being and frying pans arfc at at premium.
